Ohara Museum of Art

This museum was founded in 1930 by the businessman from Kurashiki, Magosaburo Ohara, and is Japan’s first private museum dedicated to Western art.

There are more than 3,000 works, including Monet’s “Water Lilies,” Ryusei Kishida’s “Reiko Dancing,” and El Greco’s “Annunciation.”

On Mondays and during winter holidays
If a holiday or substitute holiday falls on the closed day (Monday), the museum will open. Open every day from late July to August.
